I streamed the video from the camera attached to the ROV through 50m tether. I'm using Raspberry pi 3 with Ubuntu Mate 16.04. And Mjpg-streamer, general Pi camera.
First, Ubuntu Mate doesn't have a raspi-config to change the configuration of raspberry pi, so install raspi-config with the following command.
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install raspi-config rpi-update
After that, enable pi-camera via raspi-config
Now, to use Mjpg-streamer, install dependencies and get mjpg-streamer from git.
sudo apt-get install git cmake libjpeg8-dev imagemagick -y
sudo ln -s /usr/include/linux/videodev2.h /usr/include/linux/videodev.h
git clone https://github.com/jacksonliam/mjpg-streamer
Then, go to the folder where mjpg-streamer is located and compile it.
sudo make install
Now create a shellscript to run mjpg-streamer automatically.
sudo nano mjpg.sh
sudo modprobe bcm2835-v4l2
$STREAMER_PATH/mjpg_streamer -i "input_uvc.so -d /dev/video0 -n" -o "output_http.so -w $STREAMER_PATH/www"
Run mjpg-streamer via script file you created.
sudo sh ~/mjpg.sh
Now, you can see the video stream, if you connect to http://"your-raspberry-pi-ip":8080 in you web browser.
